While California’s citizens and legislators maybe at the vanguard of America’s progressive cannabis policy-making, unfortunately many in the law enforcement community in the Golden State are still uncomfortable with, and resistive of the will of the voters (their employers) when it comes to physician-sanctioned, patient access to medicinal cannabis.

California conservatives now use the excuse that the increase in tax revenue from legalized marijuana would only be offset by the cost of rehabilitating new users. Legalizing marijuana doesn't equal an increase in users, only the freedom for current users to come out from hiding. It does mean that funding already in place to fight the "drug war" can be reallocated into more useful endeavors. Also, the State already loses money rehabilitating drug users, much of the time at the order of the courts as a requirement to successfully complete a probation or parole.

Check out this article! The government again wants to remove drugs from the market because they are dangerous but not from risk of overdose or addiction! The Food And Drug Administration says they damage the liver. Now, what the hell, tobacco causes cancer plus many more problems yet it's legal! Alcohol related deaths are still an issue also so why is the government so concerned about acetaminophen? Read the article at the following link:

Michael Jackson Dead? And legal drugs contributed to his death so... If deaths are this rampant among users of prescribed drugs, that only strengthens the case that illegal drugs, if legalized, are dangerous!
